For over 50 years, Shirley Septic Pumping has proudly served Colorado’s mountain communities with dependable septic, sanitation, and waste solutions. South Platte Services continues this legacy under a name that better reflects our expanded range of services and growth across the region.
Our journey began in 1972 with a single truck and a commitment to quality customer care. Over the decades, we expanded our capabilities and reputation, becoming one of the most trusted local providers of septic system services, portable toilet rentals, and waste management solutions.
In 2022, ownership of the septic pumping, servicing, and portable restroom divisions transitioned to Doug and Nora Atkinson, when they relocated to Pine, Colorado and joined the Shirley Septic team. In 2024, we expanded into roll-off and commercial dumpster services, and in 2025 the company formally adopted the name South Platte Services to unify all service offerings.
Although the name has changed, our crew of local technicians and professionals, who are the same team that served customers as Shirley Septic, continues to deliver the same level of expert workmanship and personalized service you’ve come to expect. From septic system care to portable toilets, commercial dumpsters, and trash solutions, our commitment to customer satisfaction hasn’t changed; in fact, it has only grown.
